Master fundamental artistic concepts while exploring varied techniques and mediums. Classes include drawing, ceramics, painting, photography, apparel design, and more, and are taught by professional, practicing artists. In our visual art program, experimentation is celebrated, process is valued, and focus is balanced with fun.

Academics

Academics

Can an arts school have exceptional academics? We say yes. Walnut Hill students pursue a full college-preparatory curriculum alongside their artistic major, growing not only as student-artists but also as scholars. From advanced math pathways and full science sequences, to college-level humanities electives, our academics emphasize collaboration, inquiry, and creative problem-solving.

"I never knew my potential as an artist until Walnut Hill. Since freshman year, I've grown so much and met amazing teachers who have taught me about art and loving the art in myself."
